What is Corporate SEC Filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K)?
The 10-K is the annual report with audited financial statements. The 10-Q is quarterly and unaudited. The 8-K reports material events - acquisitions, executive departures, bankruptcy - generally within four business days. The glossy annual report to shareholders is a separate document, often built around the 10-K.
